The Deadline to make submissions to the Department of Transport on Future Greenway Policy and strategy is July 14th. As you have signed this greenway petition you may want to make your own submission. Numbers of submissions received will be important. It is a simple process: You can send a short email to greenways@dttas.ie before July 14th. Simply state in your email that as part of the national strategy on greenways that a greenway should be built alongside the proposed velo-rail in Kiltimagh as part of a greenway from Athenry to Sligo on the closed railway. This long distance greenway is of strategic importance to the national greenway strategy, the proposed Velo rail is socially exclusive use of public property.
