A report in the Western People last week claimed Mayo county council wanted to hear what the petitioners asking for a greenway wanted. This came as a surprise as Mayo county council have so far completely ignored all requests to meet on this issue. We are going to close off this petition now it has reached well over 600, this will happen tomorrow, the petition along with the hard copy petition which has been doing the rounds in Kiltimagh will also be presented. We don't know what to expect from Mayo county council but if they are at long last prepared to listen who knows. If you can get any more people to sign this before tomorrow at 6.00 pm then please do so. In the meantime thank to everyone who has so far supported this idea.
