Settle the refugees on Nauru in Australia

Allow those recognized as refugees now facing persecution and harm on Nauru to be settled in Australia where they first sought protection.
The 1951 Refugee Convention defines a refugee as “Any person who owing to a well founded fear of being persecuted for reasons of race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group or political opinion, is outside the country of his/her nationality and is unable, or owing to such fear, is unwilling to avail himself/herself of the protection of that country.”
Australia and Nauru are both signatories to this convention
There are approximately 500 refugees who came to Australia as asylum seekers for protection; they have had their claims assessed and proven to be refugees... However are now stranded on Nauru by the Australian government left to fend for themselves facing further persecution risk of physical harm, death and rape.
All of these refugees arrived in Australia after the 19th of July. And yet asylum seekers who arrived in the same boat, but had not yet been transferred from Christmas Island were given visas and allowed into Australia. This was a back flip by the Australian government on their own policy and an arbitrary decision to leave these refugees stranded on Nauru.
This is the reality many refugees now face because of the crimes the Australian and Nauruan government are committing and trying to hide... for those that are aware I hope you feel shame... For those that are unaware, ignorance is no longer an excuse.
