Previously in my Petition, I had informed about the merciless act of Telangana Municipality in which they killed hundreds of stray dogs by poisoning them. 

A video went viral and the lady behind the camera is Miss Vidya, who seems to be sobbing in the video as she asks the people who were dumping the dead dog's body on why they were doing this. 

She is a member of the Compassionate Society for Animals (CSA) and the animal rights activist who shot the video, said that she was the first one to spot the truck that was loading the dead bodies of the animals at Srinagar colony in Siddipet. 

“Of the 40 dogs dead, I regularly used to feed three dogs which belonged to our area. On Saturday morning, I couldn’t find any of the animals in the locality and that’s when one of the residents here told me that they saw workers picking dogs from around the area. I spotted the truck that was carrying the dead animals. They told me that were given permission by the civic body to do so. Is this how the authorities enforce birth control among animals? They didn’t even spare the little ones which were just a few months old,” she had told in an interview and further adding to her statement: "And none looked like a municipality staff, as they had no uniform on and they were just wearing gloves for safety."

The case begets serious condemnation and it caused a ruckus among the pet lovers and eventually they started petitioning BJP MP and animal rights activists Maneka Gandhi demanding the culprits behind this to be punished and looking after the matter she tweeted: “As soon as we were informed, an FIR was filed. After persistent efforts, an order by the District Collector confirms the suspension of four officials from the Siddipet Municipality." She added saying, “40 more dogs were killed in Vikarabad, Telangana, by the municipality. The post-mortem results confirmed that the dogs were poisoned. The case was reported on 19th June, 2019 and an FIR was filed on the same day against the municipal officials responsible for this cruel act.”

The inhuman action took place in Friday and some locals gave the statement that even after stopping the people who came to kill the dogs, they didn't stop and killed them.

Dogs have always proven why they have been titled as the most faithful animal and loyal to humans. Several times we have heard how they sacrificed their lives to save their master, asking nothing but love, in return. Actions like this, arises a question on everyone's mind and that is 'Do we really deserve them?' 

Fours municipality officials were suspended after this incident but is suspension really a befitting punishment for such a gruesome act? Why India doesn't have a strict rule for animals? Why don't anyone pay attention to such matters? 

Sharing cute stories and pictures on social media is what people of today have in their mind and but no one takes a stand for an action like this. Question yourself: "Do you really deserve dogs?" 

Not only dogs but every single animal in this planet has the right to live and humans do not have any right to kill them for their own satisfaction or pleasure. 

Love animals. Respect their space. Be kind to animals.
