Dear Readers,

Today we ask that you sign this petition in order to better the health of your next reptiles and to increase your knowledge of your next pet. All around the world every day millions of reptiles are kept improperly due to a lack of information provided to a  pet owner the store he so graciously purchases his reptile from or a pet stores lack of ability to provide the care needed to raise a happy healthy reptile. A couple scenarios in which I alone have experienced are 

1. When I went to purchase my tree frog and I asked Petco what lights I would needed no one was able to tell me I would need a UVB light!! Any experienced reptile owner would know that you need a UVB for your reptile to be able to digest and process calcium.
2. In Petsmart a 8 inch veiled Chameleon who should be kept by know in a 2 foot x 2 foot x 4 foot cage is instead being kept in a 1 foot by 1 foot by 1 foot cage! Causing the animal to become stressed and unhealthy
3. Petsmart and Petco as well as my local pet shop only feed their reptiles mealworms, not caring the mealworms can cause impaction, and that reptiles should have their food mixed up

These three issues alone can cause you to without knowing purchase and unhealthy and aggressive reptile and can also cause you to be unable to provide proper care because you as a reptile owner lack the knowledge to do so. The least we can do is provide these exotic pets a wonderful life, so we ask that you sign this petition and ask our pet stores around the nation to begin to provide the proper care.
