This rabbit suffered and died a horrible death and no one was held accountable.

The crippled classroom rabbit that was living in cedar chips and being carried around by 2nd and 3rd graders - the teacher hid the rabbit and would not give up to rescue.  The alleged teacher, Stefanie Anderson appears to have have had little knowledge of rabbit care.

Unfortunately, the practice of keeping small pets in classrooms is typically very inhumane and detrimental to the pet’s health and well-being.  This is an unethical practice, as it can be incredibly harmful to the animal.  Small animals are prey animals and do not like loud noises or being lifted off the ground, they struggle, kick, bite and fall resulting in broken bones and backs.
