New Greenpeace petition to stop use of weedkillers in our parks and gardens! Sign and share please!

Despite our hugely successful petition here in Milton Keynes - 26,818 signatures to date - Milton Keynes City  Council and the Parks Trust, which manages 6000 acres of our green spaces and 80 miles of our verges, continue to use weedkiller routinely in our parks, on our shrub beds and verges.  The mini spraying tractors were still out and about spraying glyphosate based herbicides during the hottest summer on record in our estates and parks.

The only way forward is to ban glyphosate from public spaces and for sale to the public.  Government ministers face a critical choice in December when the current licence for glyphosate expires :- protect nature or prioritise chemical industry profits.
