We are writing as friends and colleagues of Carla Valpeoz, a Michigan resident who is currently missing in Peru.  Carla is a smart, engaged, adventurous 35 year old from Detroit, who has traveled the world and led groups of other blind individuals on excursions around the US.  She is a local disability rights activist, restorative justice educator, and a beloved daughter, sister, and friend. She is a vital part of our community.

She has been missing since Dec. 12th after attending a wedding in Peru.  A search is underway for her, but time is of the essence.

We are asking that the Peruvian Ministry of Internal Affairs requests the aide of the FBI so that agents can be on the ground searching for Carla in Peru.
