HB763 has been voted out of the Judiciary Committee, with certain amendments, and is now headed to the House floor for a vote. The amended HB763 removes all organizations by name from the hate crime commission and leaves it up to the Attorney General to appoint the members. The original language specifically excluded CAIR while keeping the other organizations on the commission. We are hoping that, if given the opportunity, the Attorney General will not reappoint Chaudry or a different CAIR representative.
Meanwhile, Chaudry continues to post inflammatory rhetoric. Most recently, she described Zionism as a "racist, deadly and violent ideology." A National Review article discusses this inflammatory post, which she has since deleted but confirmed posting.
