Hello supporters! 

I just wanted to once again thank you for signing this petition. It's been 7 months since I set this up and only really wanted to provide an update when I could confidently say something was changing. 

Today I have received news from the ward Counsellor that the proposal for cameras on this road, is now before the West Yorkshire Road Safety Partnership and Leeds City Council’s Highways Department, who are drawing up a plan to have permanent speed cameras installed. This is planned to be considered before the end of the financial year, as we continue to apply pressure to our local public bodies for better road safety in our area. 

Whilst we await the green go ahead for anything like installation, this is the first time that plans have been put into motion, unlike before. The next update will likely be some time around early next year.
