Supernova Dewmocracy started this petition to PepsiCo

"Supernova was a Mountain Dew flavor, first appearing as a contestant in the first DEWmocracy promotion. It returned for a limited time in Back by Popular DEWmand along with Typhoon and Pitch Black from May to July in 2011. Its tagline was 'DEW with a blast of Strawberry Melon Flavor and Ginseng.'"

Mtn Dew Supernova should be sold again, whether for a limited time, permanent time, or limited time and given a chance to become permanent. It would provide profit and benefit to Mtn Dew/Pepsi and would give loyal Dew fans and unexperienced Dew fans another chance to reclaim or claim for the first time the extravagant and brilliant flavor.

Before personal input is added, let's start with Supernova.

Supernova, as mentioned, a flavor produced by Mountain Dew/Pepsi in 2008 and 2011 in the U.S., (U.S. flavor is different from European) has since been discontinued and has yet been placed in any spotlight or given any reason as to why Pepsi Co won't produce it again.

Based on recent events, it's been a yearly tradition every fall season to produce Mtn Dew Game Fuel and usually promote a game (except 2018 where cherry citrus was sold without any game relevance, a first). Multiple times now, Mtn Dew Baja Blast has made a comeback in the spring/summer season because of popular demand. And as seen, Mtn Dew Pitch Black was given another shot alongside Baja Blast in a competition where Pitch Black won and became a permanent addition to the Mtn Dew Lineup.

With these recent events, it would make sense that other flavors should be given a chance to return to the market. In this specific case, Supernova should make the return. Other flavors such as Typhoon and Revolution may in time also have their moment or simultaneously be given the light as Supernova should.

One potential reason that it has not been brought back in close to eight years is because it clearly lost the Dewmocracy and therefore has no place on shelves again. Although this is plausible, it's important to recognize that PepsiCo is a corporation and operates on means which make profit and sustain the business. And considering Supernova has lots the Dewmocracy to Voltage, it makes sense again to not bring it back on shelves. But think about it like this. Bringing back old flavors with more old flavors or alongside new flavors would bring ATTENTION TO THE RETURNING OR NEW PRODUCT which in turn would allow Pepsi to feel a hype, or a rush of demand for their products. This attention will both attract returning loyal Dew drinkers and introduce new fans at the same time. It would be good for business in which people have a reason to think about Pepsi or consider trying the returning or new product. Whether Supernova is brought back through a competition or as a limited time seasonal product, it would create this hype. It would gain the favor of loyal fans and new fans. It would give Supernova a shot to become a stable and loved product which is permanently put on shelves, earning its place as Pitch Black did by being demanded and then chosen to win a permanent place against Baja blast. Even so, Baja has still returned twice more since the Pitch Black/Baja Blast race to win three years ago. The return of Supernova would not only make loyal and new fans happy and supportive of PepsiCo, but it would provide a tide of profits based on the rush of the product demand and the attention to all the current products at the same time.

Now, for the personal input. I've been a loyal Dew fan since I was young. I remember Supernova, and I dearly long for the chance to taste it again. Personally, I use tastes to tap into nostalgic memories of the past and experience how I felt at the time and relive those days for a short time. I have many memories associated with Supernova which I feel are now just a dream, and that I could not ever sense those memories again without tapping into them through Supernova. I've done this with many Mtn Dew flavors. Simply put, Mtn Dew is of great value to me (drink in moderation). My number one favorite is without a doubt Cherry Citrus. I get CHILLS when I hear that it's coming back. This past fall, 2018, I learned it was making a return without a game promotion and that it wouldn't be replaced by something risky, new, and unfamiliar such as Arctic Burst and Tropical Smash. I purchased ten boxes (12 pack) in a week because each time I visited the store I'd leave with at least three. This is how important it is to me. I wanted to buy so much that many months from then when I've outlasted the intensity and nostalgia of the flavor, I'd be able to have some in stock still and take a can for the fun of it. It's 3/8/19 and I still have 24 cans left from October. Cherry Citrus brings back memories from the first time I ever had an Xbox 360 and played Halo 3. Code Red brings back memories of when I'd bring a 1 liter bottle snowboarding with me and my best friends, having crazy times as young teenagers. Voltage reminds me of when I would play World of Warcraft and begin listening to dubstep music such as Skrillex. Original Dew has such a broad range of memories for me that only few of my memories can be narrowed down to and associated with it. The point is, using this power to tap into older memories through the flavor of these amazing Mtn Dew flavors, I'm forever grateful to be given the opportunities to experience those sodas and hold them at great value and meaning in my life. I know I'm not the only one with this power and feeling, and not the only one who puts emotional value and attachment into the flavors Mtn Dew flavors. They are always associated with happy memories because the sodas provided me a brief moment of happiness if I were ever in the darkness, and multiplied the extent of joy in life I was at the time experiencing. I'm just one fan with a large spot of love for Supernova in my heart, as for that would be my most demanded flavor if I were to be given the opportunity to try it again. Other people like me feel the same, though they may be less or more serious as me in the matter, they have the general desire as I do.

We, the fans, will bring the attention to the market for PepsiCo if they would give a shot at returning the flavor Supernova to the shelves, and hopefully give it a chance to be permanent. It's been so long, I don't know what it tastes like anymore despite remember taking synchronized sips out of the bottle to the music on a hot summer day with the cool wind breeze flowing. If there's a flavor that deserves a return to the market, Supernova is surely on that pedestal.

And PepsiCo,

I hope to whoever the representative is that takes this idea into consideration that I've brought to the table, just request how as loyal Dew fans we can be of assistance to make this event happen that can only be done by your action.

With much love,

The Dew Fans.
