Medicare and Hearing Aids

Many of you know that Medicare doesn’t cover hearing aids; but did you know that Medicare, enacted into law in 1966, has a statute that specifically excludes hearing aids? Changing Medicare coverage is only one example of the kind of work we have ahead of us. HLAA is the only consumer voice at the table when it comes to seeing that the recommendations on affordable and accessible hearing health care issued by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NAS) become a reality.
