I've sent a letter and the link to this petition to the Chinese embassy and the International Trade Commission. Thank you one and all for your commitment to boycott Chinese products. The Festival begins today. We must continue to fight and be the voice for those who cannot speak.
My letter to the Chinese embassy is as follows:
To Whom It May Concern:
Attached is a petition I created last week related to the Yulin Dog Meat Festival, urging people worldwide to boycott all products made in China until after July 1. Currently there are over 4000 signatories and this number is growing. Many have vowed to boycott Chinese products indefinitely until China takes concrete action to ensure animal rights legislation is enacted and enforced.
The horrific brutality taken against dogs and cats during the festival is incomprehensible to anyone who has compassion. The fact these innocent creatures are intentionally tortured to enhance the flavor of their meat is appalling. How can anyone be deemed a human being and carry out this barbaric behavior? Thousands have asked this question, thousands have protested, and thousands will continue to protest and speak out against these horrific acts. This must stop now!
I ask that you forward this petition to the appropriate officials in your government, so they may review it and respond. The people of the world will refrain from supporting or purchasing Chinese goods as long as this barbaric behavior continues. The Chinese government can and must stop this. Thank you.

I ask that you relay this message to the Chinese government. The barbarity of the Yulin Dog Meat festival cannot and should never be tolerated. The continued support to boycott Chinese products due to this festival will play a negative role not only in China’s economy, but our economy as well. Thank
you for your time.
