A factory was set up few years back with a fast moving conveyor belt in it. Raw materials in the form of garbage are fed into the factory and the finished product is stale unworthy food coming out of it.

 I am talking about the much hyped Assamese music videos who are a shame to the entire Assamese society. Of course there are exceptions to it , an I have no doubt there are good products also.

Assamese music Industry is an extremely reputed and respected music industry across the world. We have some of the greatest musicians and singers of the world. The lineage is unquestionable.  

But of late we are seeing some unworthy, meaningless Assamese songs with abysmal lyrics are floating on the internet specially on YouTube. Some of the most disgusting of them are - Disco Bhonti (591,000 views)  Jio Sim (18K views) Kol Kol , Superman Handyman (281,000 Views) RajniGandha Viman Pan Masala(18K Views) Washing powder nirma (72k views) and the list goes on.

I feel terribly ashamed when I listen or see such garbage(Jabor) on Tv or internet. It is just not me but the pride of entire Axom is at stake as far as music is concerned. It is even more terrible when someone from outside of Assam listens to it. 

If you guys want to make such videos make it and keep it to yourself. For Gods sake do not put it on the internet for the whole world to see and laugh at us. You don't even have the half of "C" of creativity. Assamese music has immense respect and let it remain. 

Another plea is to the people of Assam - Please don't encourage such garbage we have a beautiful and genuine basket of our own music to celebrate.
