Animal testing has been going on for years, but testing cosmetics on animals is a whole different level of cruelty. Humans don't want to think that animals are capable of feeling pain and are miserable. Just because animals don't have a voice does not mean they are not hurting. We are their voice, so we need to recognize that what we are doing is wrong and unethical. The use of animals as models for the development of human medications, disease, and cosmetics almost always fails, simply because humans and animals have different genes. So why waste the time and money on harming these innocent animals. The Humane Cosmetics Act if enacted, would end cosmetics testing on animals in the U.S. by prohibiting the use of animals to test cosmetics and banning the import of animal-tested cosmetics.
