Today (Monday March 6, 2017) while on vacation in Thailand I visited Samutprakan Crockodile Farm and Zoo and found that many animals were kept in appalling conditions. Tigers and monkeys kept chained for photos on chains less than a meter long, extremely dirty fish tanks, poneys and donkeys dirty with matted fur, ect. It was shocking and heartbreaking to see so many animals kept in terrible conditions. The whole area was generally dirty and not well kept, animals were in cages that were clearly too small, and the area smelled of animal urine. The main attraction, a crocodile show, is basicly a group of men in a arena of sorts with crocodiles, poking them with sticks to provoke a reaction. In between elephant shows the elephant is kept on a short chain with no water or food nearby. Samutprakan Crockodile Farm and Zoo prides itself on being the worlds largest crockodile farm and their slogan is 'Help Preserve Crockodiles', yet their main attraction is a show that harasses and provokes crocodiles. These animals belong in sanctuarys. Please help stop this cruelty.
