The BLM officially announced this morning that One Ear will be returned to the Onaqui land with some of the excess horses gathered. They plan to return at least 100 horses per their official press release. While this is a victory for everyone who loves One Ear I would encourage all of you to continue to fight for our Onaqui herd. 435 horses were captured (186 stallions, 202 mares and 47 foals). While some will be returned to the range, at least 300 will require homes. Redbirdtrust.org is working to keep as many family bands together and I encourage donations and volunteering with this organization. Continue to write letters, call and donate. Individuals CAN make a change in our world!
