This change will stop the brutal torture, abuse and killing of innocent animals. It will create fear in those whom partake in animal abuse and hopefully change their way of thinking. It may even prevent potential animal abusers from hurting or continuing this chain of ignorance.  

I started this petition because I am passionate about animals, of all kinds. I believe that they are better beings than humans could ever be. I have my own rescue sanctuary and I want to reach out to all those other animal lovers to help stop the abuse of animals by pushing for stronger laws. Once the laws surrounding the protection of animals are more stringent, I can guarantee that the rate of abuse of animals will significantly decrease.
