Ban Cosmetic Animal Testing!

Ban Cosmetic Animal Testing!

The Issue

An estimated 200,000 animals die yearly due to the cosmetic industry. Animals including hamsters, rabbits, mice, guinea pigs, mice and rats get directly tested on by cosmetics to look for irritations, while dogs and monkeys are tested on for other types of chemicals going into the cosmetics. Though it might not be evident, these animals are suffering. Scientists claim that animal research is failing so in a sense, these animals are sacrificed for nothing. Cosmetic animal testing is not required, though companies chose to use it because they insist on the use of “new” ingredients, and the satisfaction of regulators includes safety data. Canada is apart of the top 10 animal testing countries in the world, something Canadians should not be standing for. Sign this petition to stand up against the cruelty against animals in the cosmetic industry!
