Pennsylvania Senate Judiciary Committee Hearing in Harrisburg, PA., June 4, 2018

Hello everyone! It has been awhile since I have updated the SB293 petition. I apologize. I have been so busy fighting for George Trudel's freedom and the freedom for all deserving men and women Lifers in PA. I was honored when asked by Lauren Fine, Co- Founder and Co- Director of the YSRP ( Youth Sentencing and Reentry Project) to testify In front of the Pennsylvania Senate Judiciary Committee, on behalf of my boyfriend, George Trudel. The testimony was crucial in telling George's story, concerning the SB293 Bill, which was introduced by Senator Daylin Leach to eliminate the 2nd-degree felony murder rule in PA. George was convicted of 2nd degree felony murder (accomplice) for a crime ( murder) which was committed by Robert Barrett on November 14, 1986. Robert Barrett was the principle in the case and received a plea deal of 7 1/2 to 15 years. He was released after 7 1/2 years in 1994. Robert Barrett came home to his family, while all this time, 30 years later, George Trudel languishes in prison waiting to come home desperately! His hope is to finally come home to his sister, Heather, to spend much needed quality time with his nephew, Paul and his niece, Taylor. To rebuild his relationship with his beautiful daughter, Samantha, to meet his wonderful grandchildren, Samantha and Emilio. George and I are looking forward to building a new life together, starting our own business, being advocates for Lifers in PA, and seeing the world together. So much living to do! George has lost so much, it is a tragedy. So many deserving men and women doing life without parole, should get a second chance!
