The Legislative Initiative Concerning Eligibility For Lifers Meeting On September 7th Was A Success!

Hello, Everyone! I apologize I did not post a weekly update last week. We are receiving so much attention from prison support groups all over the world! It really is exciting! We now have over 22 prison support groups that are signing, sharing, and reposting the petitions. Some groups are from Australia, Sweden, Germany, Norway, and The Canary Islands. The signatures are growing every day! The meeting I was invited to by The Board of Directors, Rick Lowe, from The Pennsylvania Prison Society, on September 7th was a success. In attendance were Senators, State Reps, Juvenile Lifers, and Staff from The Pennsylvania Prison Society. So many great ideas were discussed moving forward with hearings concerning eligibility for parole for Lifers in PA. Hearings will take place at locations such as SCI Graterford possibly and also in Harrisburg. Tentatively, these hearings are scheduled for November 2017. Educate yourselves on Lifers in PA by reading the mission statement on their website. Check out the petitions why you are navigating around the site. It is very informative. Lastly, PLEASE DO NOT STOP Sharing and reposting all 4 petitions! It is so important that you fight hard for Jidje's release and all other deserving Lifers that earned a second chance to rejoin the community and come home to their families! It is paying off!
