Here is a brief update on the campaign so far: 1) - Almost 5000 signatures collected in one day, petitioning PEMRA to hold GEO and Aamir Liaquat accountable for hate speech and incitement to violence. 2) - National (English) & International media covered the very sad news of 27 year old Ahmadi man gunned down in Gujranwala in the wake of Amir Liaquat's show. We need you to still help keep the momentum until our goal (holding hate speech and incitement to violence accountable in Pakistan) is achieved. Here are a few action Items: 1) - Keep the signature campaign alive. Lets aim for 10,000 by tomorrow. Share away with your friends, classmates, family, social media circles etc. 2) - For those in Pakistan (and Pakistanis abroad), please use this feedback form to lodge a complaint: http://www.pemra.gov.pk/feedback/ Select TV Channel and GEO Ent. from drop-down menu (requires a Pakistani city/phone number). Suggest that GEO and Aamir Liaquat be held accountable. 3) - Today and tomorrow (next 48 hours), I urge you to call PEMRA's UAN 080073672 (0119280073672) to register your official complaint. "I protest the hate speech, provocative allegations and incitement on Amir Liaquat's Show that have left one Ahmadi dead already, and I demand accountability." Expand as you feel fit.
