Dear Supporters,

First, thank you for supporting our previous campaign to encourage pelvic health physiotherapists to support birthing women. Your voices help us to make a difference, and today, we need your continued support.

Last year, the NSW Parliamentary Inquiry into Birth Trauma published its landmark report, after receiving over 4,000 submissions from parents sharing deeply painful experiences. The Select Committee made 43 recommendations, including expanding continuity-of-care models with known providers, trauma-informed training, better consent practices, and funding for psychological and physical postnatal recovery services, including pelvic health physiotherapy.

The NSW Government has supported 42 of these 43 recommendations and pledged to accelerate key initiatives.

But despite this progress, there is a critical gap. There is still no dedicated federal funding or national care pathways to support people impacted by birth trauma, particularly for long-term physical and emotional recovery.

That’s why we've launched a new petition, calling on the Australian Government to invest in comprehensive treatment and support pathways inclusive of both physical therapy and trauma-informed emotional recovery for people affected by birth trauma. We need nationwide action.

What You Can Do:
Please support and share our new petition: https://chng.it/65Yh6ddnVQ  so we can ensure that momentum in NSW becomes a catalyst for change across Australia.

Thank you for your continued support.
