Thank you to everyone who has supported the petition for improved pedestrianaccess to the school. We have now received **more than 580 signatures**, demonstrating the strong level of community support.

The petition has been referred to the Central Coast Council **Infrastructure Committee**, which will meet at **5:00 pm on 13 October 2026**.  While this means the matter is continuing through Council's processes, the reason for the referral remains unclear. At this stage, we do not know what considerations led to this decision or what the intentions of Councillors may be regarding the proposal.

Unfortunately, the meeting is not open to the public, so residents will not be able to attend or hear the discussion. As a result, we will have to wait for the official meeting minutes to be released before we can understand what was considered and what outcome or recommendations may have been made.

While this lack of transparency is frustrating, the petition has successfully brought this issue to Council's attention, backed by the support of more than 580 residents who recognise the need for a safer and more accessible pedestrian route.

**In the meantime, we ask everyone who has already signed the petition to invite at least one other person to add their support.** If each supporter encourages just one friend, neighbour, family member, or local resident to sign, we can significantly strengthen the message that this footpath is an important community priority.

We will continue to monitor the process and provide an update as soon as the Committee minutes become available.

Thank you again for your ongoing support and advocacy. Every signature helps ensure that the community's voice is heard.
