On Christmas Eve our Courtney George’s beloved  Ridley was shot by a heartless individual and left to die. A little back story, Ridley Courtneys sister’s 15 month old (huge) puppy. He’s the most loving dog you’ll ever meet. He loves to explore and be outdoors. Because of this tgey allow him to do so on her grandparents 4 acres of land while wearing a shock collar to make sure he stays close. On this specific day Courtney’s grandfather returned home to see Ridley laying on the front steps bleeding profusely. Ridley had been shot in the lower part of his throat. They were able to get him to an emergency vet. A police report was made with Paulding County S.O. The land that my grandparents own backs up to an empty pasture which is often used for hunting. Four shots were heard by people in the area that day. One hit sweet Ridley. His brother, Max went to doggy heaven from being shot multiple times. They are working with law enforcement as well as the news media in order to get to the bottom of who did this. In the mean time, Ridley is recovering well but slowly. Because he was shot with a high power rifle we are still unsure if he will lose his leg or have extensive reconstructive surgery .  From what I know, Paulding  detective didn’t bring any charges to these individuals found to have shot Courtney’s pets, killing one, its my knowledge these individuals told detective or vet ( not sure) that the dogs were chasing their cattle, 

but the land they were on wasn’t theirs, I know one dog had a collar on, clearly you knew this was someone’s baby.

The individuals responsible for this horrible action gave their statement to the detective working the case that the dogs were harassing their cattle. They said they were there working with the cattle and the dogs wouldn’t leave. First lie is it isn’t their cattle. The land is leased by a cattle guy named Josh. The individual does not work for Josh and was actually there hunting that day. He provided no proof the dog was off our property when he shot him. He simply googled his response and figured out that if he said the dogs were a danger to the cattle he could get away with it. The dogs have been raised with the cattle and our horses since they were 12 weeks old. They were both 15 months old and best buddies:;
