No we are not against bike lanes! We are just against poorly designed and poorly placed bike lanes. The city should remove the bike lane on Abrams between Richmond and Gaston put the bike lane on Alderson/Paulus which can connect directly to the Santa Fe. This would better protect cyclists. These streets are not as busy/congested as Abrams. Additionally, the Santa Fe trail is protected from distracted motorists and connects directly to downtown Dallas.
