Feb 3, 2017 — In five months John Duffy will once again go before the parole board of NYS to petition for his release for the vicious & brutal murder of my brother, 15 yr old Jimmy Connelly, I can think of no better day to resurrect this petition than today, the 30 anniversary of my father's death.
My father was 35 yrs old when he identified my brother's body, he had never had any heart trouble before, he suffered a massive heart attack brought on by what doctors have said was broken heart syndrome after identifying my brother's battered & butchered body.
In the following 8 yrs he suffered a series of debilitating heart attacks & died at the age of 43, John Duffy killed 2 people on January 22nd, 1979, one just took a little longer to die.
Please help us in our fight to once again block the release of vicious child murderer John Duffy by signing & sharing this petition, if you knew my brother please include a comment of what you remember him for, if you were a teenager who was just terrified by what happened, please include that. My brother's murder touched many people & while we have always tried to keep it positive by helping others in similar predicaments there are times when we need your support.
My family was devastated in July when they told us he would be released, we were able to have that overturned & again we seek your help in keeping our streets safe & free from the likes of John Duffy.
