On September 23, 2017 a dog ran away from home and was at large.  The Passaic Police were notified, as well as Head Animal Control Officer, Robert Boyle, who is also the Chief of the PASSAIC COUNTY SPCA and a sitting Board Member of the New Jersey Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA).  

The dog is question was ordered killed by ROBERT BOYLE, after he unsuccessfully attempted to capture the dog with a rabies pole.  

Individuals who are members of the State and/or local SPCA's in the State of New Jersey are suppose to be protecting the animals of this State, not ordering their deaths because they are not capable of properly catching said animals.

Attached are copies of the Police Report issued for this incident.  After speaking with the owner, it's been determined that the owner did NOT agree to this and did NOT say that he understood why it was done, actually quite the contrary.
