We want you to know that we are listening. Since launching this petition, so many of you have raised thoughtful concerns and shared your stories. Because of your input, changes have been made to the initial proposed law to make it even stronger and more comprehensive.

The updated False Allegations Accountability Act now includes:

Clearer penalties for when false allegations lead to suicide or attempted suicide.
Provisions covering incited violence (when a lie causes others to harm or even kill the accused).
Accountability for property damage caused as a result of false allegations.
Stronger protections against false CPS reports and weaponized restraining orders.
This is proof that your voices matter and that we are building this law together.
