MA Smart Meter Opt Out Bill

Hello Everyone,
As many of you may already know, this bill, MA S.1988, was voted forward by the Joint Committee on Telecommunications, Utilities and Energy in February, a huge hurtle and one that was significantly impacted by our petition. The bill is now before the Senate Ways and Means Committee and is awaiting their review. This is a new group of lawmakers with whom we will share this petition. I humbly ask that we all continue to work, to the best of our ability, to expand and share this petition, ahead of it being presented in the coming weeks, to the Senate Committee. It is important to note, and potentially express to others when sharing this petition, that there are residents within the commonwealth, who are living without running water, even during the current pandemic, simply due to not "upgrading" to a smart meter.
