Hello supporters,
I wanted to take a minute to update you on where we are with the video project. So far, I've gotten some great interviews with Dr. Leslie Jones (a veterinarian in Midlothian, VA), Dr. Courtney Bowers (Richmond SPCA), and Matthew Gray (Virginia State Director for the Humane Society of the United States). I also have some footage of myself discussing the problem we're trying to address with regard to weather-related law.
Next, we will be filming a segment with a highly-credited meteorologist at the National Weather Service in Wakefield, VA. This segment will discuss Virginia's weather patterns, and how its geography makes it susceptible to both extreme cold in the winter, and extreme heat in the summer. In addition, I will be setting up a video interview with an animal trainer/behaviorist to discuss the mental effects of being left outside without human interaction.
I am still trying to schedule something with an animal control officer, and will keep everyone posted, as always.
Overall, the video is coming along very nicely. I thank you for your continued support!
Please enjoy this short clip of B Roll footage from last night's shoot at the Richmond SPCA. :)
