We’re almost to 20,000 signatures! That is so amazing! Thank you all for including your voice in this petition and helping show how important it is to not only survivors but to the people as well! The more support we have the better so please keep sharing!
Here at Rise we have this idea: “pester for progress.” This means that we are committed to reaching out to legislators as much as possible to keep our demands for justice and these rights at the top of their minds and agenda. If you have a few minutes I would appreciate it so much if you would help with this technique of “pestering for progress.” House Bill HB 3487 also has a bill in the Senate with the same exact language SB 686.
You may send a email or call the offices to help make sure these bills get heard! Rather your a survivor or ally it’s important for congress members to hear from constituents and just how important these rights are to the people!

“You may email or call them introducing yourself and asking that bill HB 3487 and SB 686 be heard on the next Judiciary Committee agenda. This bill is vital to the 1.4 million survivors of sexual assault in South Carolina. Thank you for dedication to getting these rights passed for survivors.”
Thank you all so much for your continued support on this bill! I look forward to continue to fight for these rights and can’t wait for the next updates to follow!
