Thank you for standing with us over these past months. Your signatures and hundreds of letters have helped bring critical attention to Caltech and Trammell Crow’s proposed commercial development beside a historic church and TK–8 school, and across the street from a daycare, residential homes, and a landmark library building.
We support responsible development and are calling for thoughtful planning—and the right location—for a project of this scale and purpose. To date, traffic, safety, and other environmental impacts specific to placing this development next to hundreds of young children and historic institutions have still not been studied.
The proposed project is a 93,539 sq. ft., 4-story R&D lab building with three levels of underground parking for 260 additional cars. It is a for-profit commercial project targeting big pharmaceutical tenants, and its size and intensity are incompatible with the surrounding neighborhood.
If approved, this project would set a troubling precedent for oversized commercial buildings in residential and historic neighborhoods throughout Pasadena and beyond.
How You Can Help — Please Attend the Dec. 9 Meeting
The Pasadena Design Commission will review the project for approval on Tuesday, Dec. 9 at 6:30 PM at Pasadena City Hall.
Full meeting details are available on the Commission website:

This is a crucial opportunity for community voices to be heard. Your presence — whether or not you choose to speak — sends a powerful message that Pasadena residents and community members care about safety, neighborhoods, and responsible development.
Thank you for continuing to stand with our community.
