We need tougher sentencing on those who abuse animals.  We are becoming a country where abuse to animals is on the increase.  Many get abandoned and left to die on the roadside.   Most sanctuaries are over flowing and many animals are put  to sleep because of this.

The real abuse is going on behind closed  doors .  A local case has just hit the headlines and the abuse was horrific. They got a fine , a ban on keeping animals and community  service.  The dogs got a life sentence.

People keeping dogs but not feeding them or giving them the basic care they need.  The 2 dogs were just skin and bones when the RSPCA  got involved  sadly one was put  to sleep as its body  couldnt cope.  This is just one of 100's of similar cases. From using animals to   We take on animals and all they ask from us is basic care and attention to feel safe and loved. Fed groomed and walked.

To allow a dog or any other animal from horse down to rabbit and all the animals in between is beyond disgusting.

All these people get is community service a prison sentence they dont have to serve and a fine.

People should be made to take the consequences of their actions.  If they are abusing animals to this extent they need to go to prison and get a life ban om keeping animals of any form. 

There needs to be a 5 yr sentence to all abusers not just a slap on the wrist. 

These animals are living creatures and should not live their lives in fear .

Please help and get the government to pass  tougher sentencing guidelines.

  The RSPCA,  world horse welfare, blue cross plus hundreds of other sanctuaries are doing their best to bring people to justice  but, they need the backing of the courts to bring these people to justice
