New Zealand is “really keen” to strengthen economic ties with the UK after Brexit, the country’s trade minister has said, having “suffered as a consequence” of it first joining the European Economic Community in 1973.
David Parker has stated that a bilateral trade agreement between the UK and New Zealand could emanate from Brexit like “day follows night”, ultimately leading to closer agreements regarding migration and foreign affairs cooperation.

In addition, U.S. News & World Report, an American media corporation based in Washington D.C., has revealed its 2018 rankings for the world’s best countries, positioning Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom within the top 13.
Switzerland was declared the overall best country in the rankings, but Canada positioned 1st for quality of life, the United Kingdom 4th for entrepreneurship, Australia 5th for quality of life and New Zealand 7th for adventure and opportunity.
