The UK and Canada have signed a bilateral Nuclear Cooperation Agreement (NCA) in preparation of the UK’s departure from the European Union, allowing both countries to continue their “mutually beneficial” civil nuclear cooperation when current EU arrangements cease to apply in the UK.
The Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy also emphasized that the NCA will soon be presented before the UK Parliament for ratification, which will ensure that, “in the unlikely event” of there being a no Brexit deal, it can come into effect at the end of March next year.

In addition, Australia’s new space agency has announced the signing of two agreements with counterpart agencies in Canada and the United Kingdom.
The Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed between the Australian Space Agency, the Canadian Space Agency, and the United Kingdom Space Agency, with the three-way deal expected to help the nations develop their respective space programs and take advantage of mutual defence cooperation.
