Problem
The problem is cyclists on the road do not have insurance & are not legally or lawfully obligated to have insurance while driving on the road. Not only is this a matter of equality but also of responsibility & accountability. A cyclist is not devoid of being responsible for their own accidents while on the roads & should be made accountable if they are in the wrong.

Solution
The solution is simple. If we can get enough signatures, I believe parliament should pass legislation which legally & lawfully obliges cyclist to also have a valid, viable & fair form of insurance so they are covered in case of an accident & also so drivers of motor vehicles are not automatically liable. At 10,000 signatures we’ll get a response from the government. At 100,000 signatures this petition will be considered for a debate in Parliament.
