Paramount Plus is releasing a 4K upgrade of the Director’s Cut of Star Trek The Motion Picture exclusively to their subscribers. It’s a major overhaul. The Saint Director’s Cut is already assembled. Releasing it would be far easier to do. Even though I am not currently spending any resources to promote the petition (that will probably change after I’ve been able to step away from it for a little while, and if signatures keep it open), as long there is an even slow trickle of signatures the powers that be at Paramount will continue to get emailed updates. If the petition hits another landmark, the Paramount decision makers will be notified. If they continue to see interest in this petition there’s always the chance they’ll want to use a catalog title they already own (namely The Saint) as another exclusive.
