Next the petition will be sent to anyone who may be able to help see that the director’s cut is released. This was just the first step in encouraging Paramount to release the director’s cut of The Saint. Kilmer is a unique talent and a interesting person and this film was made in his prime. Having this lost version released is a terrific way to honor his work in film. It’s also a chance to see the film as originally intended. It’s not the same as getting a sequel, but it in a way it’s almost better. It’s like going back in time and seeing what could have been. So until it’s released the plan is to find ways to let Paramount know there is an interested audience and a fanbase for the film and for Kilmer who are eager to see what could have been.
