We have sent this petition to PM Modi
Dear all,
Thank you so much for 3000+ signatures and the tremendous support! Please continue to sign and share this petition. Today we have witnessed the assault and arrest of Arnab Goswami- an undemocratic and unconstitutional attempt at curtailing the fundamental rights of democracy and free speech in India. Law has been misused and the global Indian diaspora have witnessed a travesty of justice- I urge you to do your bit to show support for Arnab and his family, who have put their lives at stake to speak for the justice and the rights of the Indian people. Please send videos, tweets, petitions, and create a mass global movement.
Jai Hind.

We have sent the petition to Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with the following letter:
‘Dear Mr Prime Minister,
Today the people of India- not just in India, but across the world, have witnessed the gross misuse of executive power given to Param Bir Singh and the Maharashtra Police. We have witnessed the gross misuse of legislative power that has been given to the Maharashtra Government. Arnab Goswami, who is the voice of the people of the Republic of India, has been assaulted and arrested. We demand you to push for the implementation of President’s rule in Maharashtra. We also demand for the removal of Param Bir Singh from his position as the Chief Commissioner of Mumbai Police. Please see the following petition that has already been signed by 3000+ people across the world, and is constantly gaining new signatures:
In recent days, I have become extremely concerned about the curtailment of free speech in some states in India- particularly Maharashtra. The global Indian diaspora are feeling let down by the lack of action by the Central Government on this issue- the media is not being allowed to thrive. The Mumbai Police, under Param Bir Singh’s authority, has been repeatedly harassing, interrogating and trying to falsely implicate journalists, who have been fighting for justice- evident since the Palghar lynching case and Sushant Singh Rajput case were reported by Republic TV. Param Bir Singh had falsely alleged that Republic TV was involved in a TRP scam- this has been proven to be untrue. The Chief Commissioner of the Mumbai Police should not be making such false statements. Today Arnab Goswami, the Editor in Chief of the most watched news channel in India, was assaulted and arrested! Even his family have been falsely implicated by fake FIRs- this is a gross misuse of law, and a travesty of justice!
The people of India and the global Indian diaspora reject such undemocratic vilification of those who speak the truth. The fundamental principles of the Indian Constitution- freedom of speech and democracy- are under threat under the Maharashtra regime. We will be reporting this to the United Nations Human Rights Council, unless stringent action is taken by the Indian Central Government.
The Indian people support the fourth pillar of democracy- the media. Param Bir Singh and the Mumbai Police have not even conducted a proper investigation on the Sushant Singh Rajput case, and yet, they are trying to falsely implicate and silence particular media channels, who are speaking on behalf of the Indian populace. The people of India reject Param Bir Singh as the Mumbai Police Commissioner. He is not fit to serve the Indian populace. He cannot lie and falsely arrest citizens, whilst wearing the uniform of the Mumbai Police. We are worried that today it was Arnab Goswami, but tomorrow it can be any other citizen.
To conclude, the Central Government must promptly implement President’s Rule in Maharashtra to restore democracy. Arnab Goswami must be freed promptly, since his safety, and the safety of his family, is at stake. Param Bir Singh must be made to resign.
I anticipate a positive response from you.’
