Kanye West is an American singer, rapper, songwriter and husband to Kim Kardashain. His values and ethics have been well documented in celebrity gossip magazines and can be heard in his music. I believe his moral and ethical compass is not aligned with values that most Canadians adhere to. What reasoning was there for choosing an American rapper, married to a reality show star to close our Canadian hosted PanAm Games? There is a plethora of world class Canadian talent available in our vast country and I believe the Canadian public and guest athletes, would prefer to see the closing PanAm event dominated by Canadian talent. This is Canada's time to showcase our talent and diversity in many areas of sport, hospitality and culture, it only seems reasonable to have Canadian talent perform at the pinnacle of a successful Canadian PanAm games.
