Thanks to all who turned out despite record-breaking temperatures to protest the installation of the statue on Museum Way last night!  Press coverage noted she was not unanimously welcomed, with loud protesters present. Speakers were drowned out by chants, combined with supporters trying to shout down protesters.  The statue was fenced off, keeping both lovers and haters at bay, and making the entire event somewhat anticlimactic. It was sad to see City Council members trying to justify their ill-advised decision to place the statue in front of the Museum. Please continue to share and boost this petition. Even though the statue is up, the lawsuit continues, and we will keep the pressure on.
