Hello. I'd like to give you an update for today.  I'd like to share the positive things coming from the petition and some of my own opinion as well.

First, nearly 1,200 signatures today alone. Almost 1,500. It's only because it's being shared and bombarded all over by you all.  I'd love to hit 20k signatures. Maybe overly ambitious but why not.

Secondly, if you've never done a petition on Change.org it's quiet simple to do. It's not easy to get your petition viewed and harder to get signed.  Change.org tells you basically you'll get about 2-5% signature rate from views.  So if get 100 views you'll get maybe 5 signatures.   I'd like to give you all HOPE.  Our signature rate is nearly 25% for 48 hours straight.  Yes you read that correctly 25% signature rate!!!! That's 5-10x more successful than the average petition.  Keep texting the link, REPOST IT IN GROUPS THAT APPROVE, REPOST on your own pages and message your friends and families in PBC the petition link.

Third, I was contacted to do an on camera TV interview.  I'm not against any interview or discussion regarding this petition but if you knew me for a second you know I like to be involved but not seen (ever).  I rarely get in photos. I actually avoid cameras. I have a beautiful wife and 4 amazing kids so I'm, by nature a camera man, not a stage presence.  I was very willing to openly discuss with the reporter the petition and give my personal reasons for starting it but they are a camera news company that is locally well known.   I would never speak for anyone so if you are approached to speak, please do not assume you know what I would say.  Do what you want if you are contacted but this can be a hot topic and presenting a logical argument based on facts and experiences should override emotion and displeasure.

Finally, I am not anti mask.  I've heard that a few groups where the petition was posted got very heated. Personally I think any discussion is good but I generally try to speak direct and explain that I'm only concerned about my children due to their changes from wearing masks and that the petition gives others a chance with similar concerns a platform to be heard.  Some can choose to wear mask forever if they are comfortable with that. For me and my family, I am not so I prefer a pro choice mask approach.

Seeing 25% of people sign the petition should make us all feel that we are not alone in our approach to parenting.  Let's be strong for our kids and the children we love ours or not!
