LSB Elections - Staff and Listener - Must Still Be Extended

Listener quorum has been met everywhere except at WPFW, where 6.7% out of the required 10% have voted.
Staff quorum has not yet been met at WBAI or KPFK (23.6% and 18.2% out of 25% required, respectively).
Overall, voter turnout is still very low. Listeners are still receiving their ballots this week. For example, this was stated by a caller and acknowledged by management on the air during WBAI's 'report to the listener' on Oct.13 (listen at https://wbai.org/archive/program/episode/?id=26703 , call in question is approximately 1 hour & 40 minutes in).
Similar statements were made by the National Election Supervisor, Renee Penaloza, during the Oct. 7 Pacifica National Board meeting.

(Listen to the meeting at https://kpftx.org/archives/pnb/pnb211007/pnb211007b.mp3 part 2 of 3, see https://kpftx.org/archive.php for other 2 parts-scroll down to PNB Special Meeting Oct. 7)

The by-laws state that there should be approximately six weeks between ballot distribution and the election close date.  https://www.pacifica.org/kewg.org/bylaws/art4sec5.html [par. 1]

Additionally, recorded candidate introductions were cut - at KPFT, WPFW, and WBAI - from the submitted content, leaving listeners with an incomplete and quite possibly less-motivating picture of the options.

Extending the election allows time for full statements to be aired and undoubtedly optimizes participation - the essence of democracy.
