I was in a car in Kansas City Missouri, and I was talking to my then multicultural affairs advisor Cornell. He invited me to attend the White Privilege Conference where I was able to learn so much about racial inequality that is perpetrated in the systems that we see today. We had begun talking about music that we liked, I mentioned that my favorite song is "Murder To Excellence" off of the Watch The Throne album. He told me "You know that song is about a Pace student". For years I listened to this song, for years I heard the name Danroy Henry, but I didn't meet him until that moment. From then on I wanted to educate myself, and learn who DJ was, rather than what happened to him. DJ introduced me to so many things and people that I am so thankful for.
