I am HORRIFIED that a sitting Judge could behave so immorally, unethically and face no consequences. I am further horrified that taxpayer money is going to pay for his legal defense. 

Judge Thomas Doerr engaged in a sexual relationship with a subordinant member of his court. Later, when the victim got engaged, and was pregnant, he threatened her with loss of job and manipulated her work assignments so she was constantly in his courthouse.

Judge Doerr, elected to keep law and order, has made a mockery of the entire local Butler County courts. He is a disgrace, who has been intentionally removed from prosecuting criminal cases due to his lack of integrity or moral compass. He now presides solely over civil cases, leeching tax money on his over inflated salary and pompous legal defense.

He has been unapologetic and defiant, never once offering any apology, and putting the blame on everyone except his own self. The cost to tax payers is mounting. A federal judge opined that his actions were reprehensible and his defenses could not excuse his behavior. 

Instead of resigning and offering an apology, he continues to leak county money in his over-priced defense, and deny any and all personal responsibility. When a criminal defendant is sentenced, their level of remorse is taken into consideration by the sentencing Judge. As such, Butler should approach the "sentencing" of this Judge in a similar fashion. His clear lack of remorse and his ridiculous expense to tax payers should be punished to the highest extent of the law. 

If this Judge can sit there and throw the book at people, then it's time that Butler throws the book at him. For this reason, I am circulating this petition asking that Judge Thomas Doerr is removed from the bench, stripped of his pension and $180,000 plus salary, his law license and forced to issue an apology to the taxpayers.

In an era where we are recovering from a decade long recession, and questioning the integrity of our courts in the most over incarcerated nation in the world, Judge Doerr is profoundly inappropriate. He exemplifies the same corruption and lack of integrity that an entire nation is raging about. While he made a career out of "making an example" out of criminal defendants, its high time that taxpayers put their feet down and make an example out of him. 

He should owe the county the full cost of his legal defense, and I hope the county sues him for these tax dollars once litigation is settled via agreement or verdict. This is a stunning and breathtaking hypocrisy that truly delegitimizes the "integrity" of our court system, and the "respect" we are supposed to have for local elected officials. If we do not hold Judge Doerr accountable, than we are endorsing the idea that elected Judges are "special" and not privy to the very laws that we specifically hired them to enforce. 

I hope you will sign. Time to get this trash off the bench. Please take action, and let your friends and loved ones know that this lack of integrity and obvious hypocrisy will not be tolerated in your town, at the expense of the hard earned wages of paying taxpayers.
