Dear Friends,
As I sit in the land of Guru Nanak; so close to Kartarpur but not on the physical ground - Kartarpur is on my mind more than anything and I know it on yours.
Today as the Peace Corridor opens, I pray that:
May the #KartarpurCorridor initiate the ripping of the hateful fence between the two war-torn brothers - India and Pakistan — just as this day 30 years ago witnessed the fall of the Berlin Wall.
While the invited dignitaries, sangat, politicians, reporter, security, drones and the onlookers crowd the marbleized Kartarpur -- I am traveling to universities in Pakistan to talk about what Kartarpur means - in the hope that perhaps the local students and the preservationists will raise the voice for preservation in phase 2 and perhaps Kartarpur will be saved from 5 and 7 star hotels and shopping malls that the business opportunists are planning and attention would be paid to building more new structures far away from Baba Nanak's fields.
Understanding Kartarpur is the key to saving and celebrating Kartarpur. Let us understand the thought of #BabaNanak behind Kartarpur. I am sharing my recent interview at the Punjabi University Patiala - hope you will enjoy and learn from.
