Jan 16th 2019 - Fields and Farms of Baba Nanak at Kartarpur Sahib Uprooted

ਬਰਾਏ-ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨੀ ਇਹ ਪੜ੍ਹੋ ਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਕਰੋ. ਜੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਹੁਣ ਵੀ ਅਵੇਸਲੇ ਰਹੇ, ਤਾਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਵੇਹਂਦਿਆ-ਵੇਹਂਦਿਆਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਗੁਰੂਆਂ ਦੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਵਿਰਸਾ ਕੁਦਰਤ ਦੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਵਿਚ ਰੋਲ ਦੇਣਾ ਹੈ. ਬਾਕ਼ੀ ਕੀ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ- ਉੱਚੀਆਂ ਕੁਹਜੀਆਂ ਇਮਾਰਤਾਂ, ਬਹੁ-ਮੰਜ਼ਿਲੇ ਹੋਟਲ ਤੇ ਮੁਨਾਫ਼ੇਖ਼ੋਰ ਤਾਜਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੱਟੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਸ਼ੌਪਿੰਗ ਮਾਲ. ਕ਼ਿੱਸਾ ਤਮਾਮਸ਼ੁਦ।

This pictures tears my heart apart and I am sure it will do the same to you. I was there less than a year ago. Bhai Gobind Singh (granthi/caretaker) and his wife gave us a personal tour of the fields from where the organic wheat and vegetables for the Langar came. Then we strolled past the sugar cane fields and sucked on them. Pure nectar. Pure Bliss. Imagine being in Baba Nanak's fields, touching the soil on your forehead and partaking langar from very soil he tilled with his own hands. Blessings had no bound.

When I saw the video of this destruction last night, I cannot explain in words what I went through. I wailed. I am crying as I write to you.

I have felt helpless before in situations I was alone in. But with a whole army of Baba Nanak's lovers agreeing to this cause - Why are we so helpless that our voice can't reach Islamabad?

Please stand with me today. Do not donate to this cause. We don't need funding.  Just share. Share like you have never shared anything before. This is our Baba Nanak and his fields - This is the heritage that we need to pass to our children.

Unless you act in your fullest capacity, this is the last of Village Kartarpur Sahib as established and envisioned by Baba Nanak - that I got to see but most of you will never.  We will see commercial buildings, hotels and businesses at our heritage sites and our children will refuse to go there because there is nothing that speaks to them about Baba Nanak. End of Story.
