A recent flurry of letters from the NYPA and postings by the Stop The Clear Cut group on their Facebook page, have clearly demonstrated that the NYPA has not changed their position one iota. Vegetation removal will continue on high hazard areas, sooner than later.
They have categorically stated "Where the risks are high, we have no choice but to protect public safety".
And, they have drawn a line in the sand and 'excommunicated' this radical STCC group; No longer invited to participate in discussions.
In the meantime, we are rapidly approaching 500 signatures for this petition (remember there are 385 on the other petition) so we only need 7 more people as of Mar 27 2022. Please ask relatives, neighbors etc to sign this petition. www.change.org/ErieCanalDam
