Hi everyone, thank you so much for your support so far. We are getting close to 500 signatures and I will continue to circulate the petition as much as I can. 

I came across a document by ACT Wildlife who have compiled a list of native animals that have been poisoned by SGAR rodenticides. Many of them are endangered - The list is included in the photo above. It turns out SGAR poisons kill a wide range of native animals, not just Owls. Here is the document:

I also got a reply from an email I sent to Michael Schneider. Sadly, it was exactly the same as the emails I have received from Coles and other Bunnings staff. Just a generic copy and paste from a template.

It seems that Bunnings are determined to keep up the sale of SGAR poison at any cost. I'll be sending Michael the list of animals that are killed by these horrible poisons and another letter.

Here is a letter you can send him, or you can write your own:

Dear Mr Schneider, 

"I wanted to ask why nothing has been done about SGAR poisons being sold at Bunnings considering the vast and disturbing amount of proof and research into how many endangered native animals are killed by these poisons. The numbers of deaths are increasing, including Powerful Owls of which there are estimated to be less than 8,000 left in the wild. 

You state you take this into consideration, but it seems to me there is no consideration at all being given to our wildlife and the only thing considered are profits over everything. 

You banned glue traps, and did the right thing after over 90,000 people petitioned for you to stop. 

Is that what it will take to get you to stop selling inhumane and cruel poisons that kill thousands of non-target native animals many of which are endangered? This issue is highly distressing and something needs to be done urgently. 

Please reply".
